Cyril's grandparents emigrated from Morocco to France. His father grew up in low-income housing and relied on government subsidies for housing. Through his family story, Cyril developed a passion for helping people reach their dream of homeownership. In addition to his role at Landis, Cyril is also a Managing Partner at real estate firm Berd Industries, and a Venture Partner at Stanford-focused venture capital firm Spike Ventures.
Prior, Cyril was a Director at real estate firm Crown Acquisitions, an investor at real estate venture capital firm Fifth Wall and an analyst at Houlihan Lokey. He holds an undergraduate degree from Emory University and an MBA from Stanford University. He is a recipient of Forbes 30 Under 30 for building Landis with his best friend Tom.
Tom is a Belgian-born, Cambridge-trained mathematician whose passion is leveraging data and technology to improve people's lives. He holds a particular interest in education and financial literacy, having previously worked as a high school teacher and an education consultant. Tom has also held positions at the intersection of data science and strategy at Airbnb, HelloFresh and Cairneagle.

Tom holds an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge and an MBA from Stanford, where he received the Miller Award for his leadership and commitment to Social Change, and most importantly, met his incredible co-founder Cyril. Tom is also a huge fan of chocolate.
Landis gives people a leg up on their way to homeownership. The company allows its customers to rent the home of their dreams for up to twelve months, then to purchase it once they are ready to get a mortgage. Landis also provides tools and incentives for customers to improve their credit score and build up their down payment.
